Diaphragm / Chemical Seals

Diaphragm/chemical seals are used to provide a barrier between a corrosive fluid and a Bourdon Tube pressure gauge.  The cavity above the diaphragm and the passageway in the Bourdon tube gauge is filled with a non-aggressive fluid which transmits the pressure exerted on the diaphragm of the seal to the Bourdon Tube in the gauge.

  • Seals are used to provide a barrier between a corrosive fluid and a Bourdon tube gauge.

  • Used mainly with paint, slurry, powder etc to prevent the Bourdon tube becoming blocked.

  • Z140 is used on gauges up to 80mm diameter and has a max pressure of 600 psi.

  • Z800 is used on gauges above 80mm diameter and has a max pressure of 300 psi.
